What is covered under the Goodyear Warranty Policy for Passenger and SUV tires?
All Goodyear tires bearing Goodyear’s serial number which are within 5 years from the date of purchase are covered by warranty during its original tread life from defects in workmanship and materials which render the tire unserviceable.
If our examination shows such product has a condition due to defects in workmanship and materials, under the terms of this warranty, we will make a fair and reasonable allowance in the purchase of a new similar Goodyear product. Any such allowance on a tire will be based on the actual tread wear remaining.
What Is Not Covered under the Goodyear Warranty Policy?
- Tires which are more than five (5) years from date of purchase
- Tires with actual remaining usable tread depth of below 20% of its original usable tread depth
- Tires modified by any kind of material added after leaving a Goodyear factory. Credit will not be given in any adjustment transaction for tires modified with these materials (balancing substances, white inlay on a black tire, sealants & fillers excluding Duraseal technology), if the condition relates to such material.
- Wear related complaints including fast wear, uneven wear (one side wear, shoulder wear, diagonal wear, spot wear) and heel & toe wear for passenger and SUV tires due to poor mechanical condition of the vehicle’s suspension, steering, braking system, misalignment, improper toe and camber adjustment, improper inflation, overloading, or high speed spin-up.
- Misapplication, misuse, negligence, or racing of tires used either as temporary or spare tires on vehicles for racing and on passenger cars used for special application; e.g. police pursuit service.
- Road hazards including cuts, snags, impact breaks, punctures, scratches, abrasions, multiple cuts, chipping, flaking and chunking of all tires including wreck, collision or fire, whether repairable or not.
- Ride disturbance / vibrations after the first 25% of usable tread wear or due to damaged wheels or any vehicle condition.
- Air leakage on tires which have been mounted for more than 3 months submitted from the date of purchase.
- Long term storage of vehicles with tires mounted on including spare tires which causes flat spots or sidewall deformation on tires.
- Tires with conditions being the direct result of tire structure modification or tampering such as repairs processed by third party (improper repair, poor/improper mounting and demounting of the tire), siping or used with defective components such as rim or wheels.
- Usage of tubes in tubeless tires
- Tires damaged by external events (mounting, dismounting, mechanical condition of the vehicle, chain damage, etc.)
Any tire, no matter how well constructed, may develop a condition in service or otherwise become unserviceable due to conditions beyond the control of the Manufacturer. This warranty is not intended as a representation that a tire condition may not develop.
There is no other guarantee, warranty or liability, express or implied, applicable to these products. No representative has authority to make any representation, promise or agreement except as stated herein.
This 5-year warranty is applicable for eligible tires purchased on or after January 1, 2017.

HOW TO COMPUTE FOR THE REMAINING TREAD LIFE
Applicable to passenger, SUV and ULTR tires
*Current tread depth = Measured remaining tread depth
*TWI = Tread Wear Indicator (1.6mm)
*Average Tread Wear Remaining = Average usable tread depth measured across the tire
Applicable to ULTB, LTB, MCT, MRT, Farm, and OTR tire
*Current tread depth = Measured remaining tread depth
HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY REQUEST
- All Goodyear consumer tires bearing valid serial numbers, except racing tires, are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship. Damaged tires must be presented to a Goodyear Autocare outlet along with original copies of proof of purchase (sales invoice / official receipt) and warranty card for inspection and thorough analysis. Inspection will be undertaken by a Goodyear Certified Tire Adjuster.
- If the damage is found to be the result of a manufacturing defect, the tire will be considered under warranty, provided the age of the tire falls within a required period (refer to types of warranty). Goodyear will then provide credit against a purchase of a new tire with the same size and design (or a comparable tire, which is an equivalent design or model with the same size construction and quality level). The credit value will depend on the tread depth remaining.
- Credit computation will be based on the assessed value of the remaining original tread of the damaged tire using the original invoice price as reference.
- Customer will fill out and sign a tire claim card to facilitate processing of credit. Subsequently, Warranty Card will be returned to the customer after processing of warranty if card corresponds to more than one tire.
- If the tire is found not to be defective or not caused by a manufacturing defect, the Goodyear Certified Tire Adjuster, will return the tire to the customer, formally explaining why the tire has been classified as such.
- Please seek the assistance of a Goodyear Certified Tire Adjuster from any Goodyear Autocare outlet to determine what constitutes a manufacturing and a non-manufacturing defect and other details about tire warranty.
- Tampering of any kind on Goodyear products automatically invalidates the warranty (e.g., tampered serial number, ply rating, size of tire, etc.).
- All replaced tires shall be surrendered to the Goodyear Autocare outlet and become the property of Goodyear Philippines, Inc.
- Tire damage analysis and assigned credit value determined by Goodyear remain final.
- Only tires purchased in authorized Goodyear retail outlets in the Philippines are eligible for warranty.
